One Response to “Catholic League: Due Process for Accused Priests”
  1. Rita Pease Hallas says:

My heart breaks for Fr. McRae and others who are unjustly accused. The fallout of this crisis is far reaching and is so dreadful. One could think that the Church needed to be shook up because it is true that, as Pope Paul VI once said, the “smoke of Satan has entered the Church.”

But innocent as well as guilty are being swept up in this jauggernaut of accusation and condemnation. Beyond the innocent lives destroyed, where is the shepherd’s concern with the “fallen?” Fr. John Corapi once said that a soldier never leaves his buddie wounded on the battlefield.

Likewise, a Christian never leaves wounded fellow Christians abandoned in their sin. The voices are so shrill today over this issue that no voice of reason can be heard.

There are root causes to the epidemic of sexually addicted men in our society. Many studies have consistently shown the addictive and distorting power of pornography on our youth and young men.

These powerful compulsions are tearing our country apart! If we are ever to begin to protect our young against the danger of sexual predators, we must seek to bring these men into the therapy that will show them the way out of their dangerous compulsions. Pornography targets children just to end up victimizing children.

Be assured of my prayers and May God help us in this, our greatest time of need!
